The following electronic databases are provided by the Mexico-Audrain County Library District. You can access any of the databases while you are at any of the library district locations: Mexico, Farber, Laddonia, Martinsburg and Vandalia. You can also access them remotely from your home or your smartphone.
EbscoHost/Explora--provides access to full-text information on a broad range of topics including general interest, business, health and multi-cultural. This resource also includes access to a children's database that contains content appropriate for their age level. Information included is from current and authoritative journals, magazines, pamphlets, newsletters and reference books on a wide variety of topics.
HeritageQuest Online--A vast treasury of genealogical data, local history sources, monographs, official records, and coverage of U. S. Federal Census collection from 1700s -1940, with user-friendly searching. Full text information and images, ready for downloading.

Newsbank--This comprehensive news collection is ideal for exploring issues and events at the local, regional, national and international level. Its diverse source types include print and online-only newspapers, blogs, newswires, journals, broadcast transcripts and videos. Use it to explore a specific event or to compare a wide variety of viewpoints on topics such as politics, business, health, sports, cultural activities and people. World Cat --This program allows you to search for books and other materials in libraries worldwide and gives access to more than 6 million items held in Missouri's public and academic libraries. Library users can locate information that they need and if it is not locally available, it can be requested through interlibrary loan. **Some items or special collections may not be available for loan.
