Wolfner Library
The Mexico-Audrain County Library District has a sizable number of books with larger font and they are available for circulation at all library district locations. If additional materials are desired residents can use Wolfner Library for materials in braille, audio and large print.
Wolfner Library is a service provided by the Missouri State Library. Patrons may request applications for Wolfner Library services at any of the library district locations. The application can also be filled out online and printed to be either faxed or mailed to Wolfner Talking Books and Braille Library, P.O. Box 387, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0387. Wolfner Library is a free library service for Missourians who are unable to use standard print materials due to a visual or physical disability. Materials are mailed to and from library patrons at their homes, postage paid. There is no charge, whatsoever, to the patron. Currently, over 8,000 Missourians actively use Wolfner Library.
The library's collection includes fiction and nonfiction audio, braille, and large print books for all ages. Over seventy (70) magazine subscriptions are available, and the library loans playback machines to those using audio books.
Wolfner Library is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The library is located in the James C. Kirkpatrick State Information Center at 600 West Main Street in Jefferson City, Missouri.
